OOTD • Earthy Black

Sweater: TJ Maxx
Top: Anthropologie
Belt: Target
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Nordstrom Rack

I just got these jeans on sale from the Gap as a much needed staple in my wardrobe.  I had hoped that the outfit ideas would just pour out of me this morning when it came to styling, but such was not the case.  Anyway, long story short, here is what I came up with after a good 15 mins of trial and error.  I think I am going to go to the inspiration boards for next time...I know there is an awesome outfit just waiting to use these babies.

Happy Friday!

OOTD • Spring has Sprung

Layering Top/Belt: Charlotte Russe
Tee: H&M
Skirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Burlington Coat Factory

Today is just screaming, "Go outside and enjoy the sunshine!"  These are the days I really wish I didn't have a 9-to-5.  Then I could go relax at the beach with a good book (insert take a nap in the sun).  Ahh, the good life! Just some of the perks of living in the Sunshine, wait. That's Florida.  Hmmm?  What is the nickname for California? Well, nevermind for know what I meant, yes?!?  Ok, good.  Now, back to your regular scheduled outfit.

OOTD • Beyond Dark

Okay, two things...

First, I have been trying to take pics of my OOTD but I only seem to find the time in the evening.  This is an issue because I go to gym after work and because it is dark by the time I get home.  Good pics, this does not make.  Hopefully, these pics will be enough to inspire for now, but I am working hard get things back on track and regulate my post schedule.

Second, I have been stalking this Anthro Top for months, ever since I saw it in their catalog.  It finally went on sale at a price I could consider "reasonable," so I jumped on it.  Everything I get from Anthropologie pays for itself in wears (I love every anthro item I have) so I think it was a good buy.  Next time, I think I will pair it with a skirt....

Style Under $50: Honeysuckle-to-Coral Cardis

I've been on the hunt for a cute pink/orange cardigan for this season.  Here are a few that look interesting.

Just Illin'

Ugh, I have plagued with illness this spring and it is really putting a damper on my posts.  I am sorry for anyone still out there interested in this blog.  Thanks for hanging in there!

Oh, and for anyone interested....I am on Pinterest. If you haven't heard about it, you MUST check it out!  It is visual board site for all those cool things you come across on the web and want to save for later.  Kinda like, but better!

OOTD • Sunny Days

Cardigan: Old Navy
Shirt: Old Navy
Belt: Charlotte Russe
Jeans: Gap Outlet
Shoes: Marshalls

Finally, I am starting to feel perky again!  The weekend is supposed to be perfect spring/summer weather so I plan to get out and enjoy it.  On a side note, it sure is nice to wear sandals on a regular basis.  Yea for Sunshine!

OOTD • A Day Late

Cardigan: Old Navy
Top: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Marshalls

Just wanted to get this post up of yesterday's outfit.  Still fighting a cold but functioning. Hope you all are having a pleasant week.  TTFN.  :)

Round 2...Fight!

Two weeks ago, my husband acquired a nasty cold which he promptly passed to me a few days later.  I was homebound for a day and really congested for about a week and half.  So, what happens as soon as I have cleared all my airways?!?  Husband gets another cold, which he in turn shares with me, AGAIN!  UGH!  :(

Therefore, there will be no OOTD post today.  I am wearing some weird layers of pink and orange and it just isn't good.  I hope to back on my game tomorrow.

OOTD • Easy Like Monday Morning

Jacket: Gap
Shirt: American Eagle
Jeans: Nine West
Shoes: Converse

The weekend flew by, and alas, I forgot to take any outfit pics.  Church performances, prepping for a BBQ, going to the BBQ, movie nights, I could go on and on.  It was a fun weekend but tiring.

I could of used a few more hours of recovery time this morning, but I only got a few extra minutes.  However, those minutes were precious ones I didn't have.  So, I quickly grabbed the first comfortable clean thing I had in the closet to avoid being late.  Not too bad I thought for a 30 second decision.  :)

Luckily, I have my outfit planned out for the Everybody, Everywear monthly fashion post tomorrow.  Are you participating?

OOTD • Casual Fridays

Jacket: Gap
Sweater: American Eagle Outfitters
Tee: Target
Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Payless

TGIF!  I really wanted it to be Saturday this morning when I woke up to a buzzing alarm.  But Friday is almost as good...almost.

Today, I tried not smiling in my pics.  Unfortunately, the results were really depressing.  I included this half smile pic so you could get an idea of how depressing it could have been.  See?  Not great.  If only I had one of those faces that could be dead pan and look fabulous, like a high fashion model.   Then, I wouldn't have to smile when I really feel like today.

OOTD • On the Slant

Sweater: Old Navy
Shirt: Marshalls
Jeans: Gap
Belt: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Target

This has to be a quick post today as I am running off to my Zumba class (so fun, btw). Here are some pics of my OOTD...all slanted for some reason.  I tried to straighten them but I think my body was the problem.

OOTD • What? Rain?!?

Cardigan: Marshalls
Top: Old Navy
Jeans: Gap
Belt: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Marshalls

It has been pretty warm around here the last few days, so I decided to where sandals and layers to stay comfortable.  Well, I was more than surprised by the weather on my way to work today...there was rain.  Yes, rain.  And I was totally unprepared.  (Errrr.)  Luckily, it hasn't been very heavy, but still.  I watched the news last night, too.  You'd think they would be able to predict rain over a 12 hour period pretty accurately, but apparently not.  So, I stayed inside with my space heater on most of the day.  Not that I'm complaining or anything....  :)

OOTD • Gray Days

Cardigan: Target
Tee:  Target
Belt: Marshalls
Jeans: American Eagle
Shoes: Target

The item for today that I am trying to use more is this gray cardi.  I thought I would be able to mix it into all kinds of outfits but it has been throwing me for a loop.  I can't figure out it it is the waterfall tier, the heather gray color, the odd way it looks when belted, or what?!?  This is honestly the only way I have figured out to wear it so far.  Granted, it isn't a spectacular outfit, but maybe if I added some accessories.....

Belt: Aldo
Scarf: Forever 21
Bag: DSW

OOTD • Classics and Cargos

Cardigan: Old Navy
Shirt: H&M
Cargos: Old Navy
Shoes: Ross - Madden Girl

I am tryin' to get back into the posting routine, so here is my OOTD.  Normally, I would have gone with jeans for this outfit (or any outfit for that matter).  It's not that I dislike cargos...its just that I love the ease and versatility of jeans.  It makes getting dressed so much simpler.  I am not a morning person so outfit styling is almost impossible on a normal weekday.  Therefore, I rely on classic pieces most of the time, much to my dismay.  I want to be bolder, brighter, more exciting, however, that styling enthusiasm just doesn't seem to manifest itself at 6am.  It really is an outright shame because I have so many cute items being neglected for ol' standby pieces.

So, in an attempt to branch out and get some use out of my closet, I will grab at least one "new" item each day and build my outfit around it.  I have big plan for making this easier on myself, but for now, I'm still working on the logistics.  Once the project comes to fruition, I will share it will all of you peeps, so that you can try it for yourself.  Until that happens, enjoy these cargos that have been worn at most 3 times since I got them in August.  Happy Friday!
