Thursday

30 for 30 • Day 12

Shirt: Marshalls
Jeans: Gap
Belt: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Old Navy

It's official.  I am an outfit repeater.  (Shhh...keep it on the downlow.)  If you don't remember this outfit from before, just pretend I never said anything.  It's new to you!  :)

It was another frantic morning, so I needed something that worked and I needed it fast.  That is when repeat outfits come in handy.  You know it works, no thought, no struggle, just go.  I think everyone should make a little room in their style repertoire for the occasion repeated outfit...but that is just my 2¢.

Side Note: I'm still working on the video post.  I keep trying, but it keeps doin' weird stuff...I need to do a little more research.  Stay tuned....

Wednesday

Style Video • Decorative Belt Knot

VIDEO IS NOW WORKING!
It's Here!  My first ever "how to" video, requested by the lovely and oh, so fashionable Kish at Me, Myself, & Style.  It explains how to make this belted knot.... Enjoy!

30 for 30 • Day 11

Shirt: Target
Tank: H&M
Pants: Old Navy
Shoes: Payless Shoe Source
Belt: Thrifted

Tuesday

30 for 30 • Day 10

Cardigan: Target
Top (or Skirt): Thrifted
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Marshalls
Bag: Thrifted

It has been a whirlwind the last 72 hours...I took Monday off from work (just because, highly recommend it) and had a funfilled 3-day weekend.  I even wore my 30 for 30 items the whole time, but of course, no proof of such.  :(   I might play dress up one day to count those outfits, especially if I start getting tired of my 30 items near the end.  I'll keep u posted, if it comes to that.

As for this outfit, I picked up this yellow item just before the challenge and knew it would be a great remix item.  I thought for sure it was a skirt when I got it, but that it would be awesome as a top, too.  (You know, 'cuz I am just clever like that. ;P)  However, while putting it on this morning, I noticed it has strap holders on the inside.  So, perhaps it was supposed to be a top and not a skirt?!?  Perhaps it's dual purpose was designed into top/skirt and not just the vision I had for it?  Maybe I am not as clever as I think I am?!?  Darn, I hate when that happens.

Friday

30 for 30 • Day 9

Top: Kenar via Marshalls
Pants: Marshalls
Shoes: Payless
Scarf: Marshalls
Bag: Marshalls
Sunnies: Cole Hahn via Marshalls

If I was titling my posts during the 30 for 30, this one would be newspaper...you know, like the joke: What's black and white and red (or read) all over?  Although, coral isn't actually red but it is close.  Just use your imagination.  :)

And after captioning this post, I have discovered that I apparently have a problem.  Only one thing out of 6 is from somewhere other than Marshalls, a store which I frequent during lunchtime.  Yea, I probably need to dial back the shopping during the workday...and in general, for that matter, but especially during the day.  The first step to recovering from addiction...identifying that you have a problem.  Step 1...check.  I make no promises about Step 2 and beyond.

Thursday

30 for 30 • Day 8

Cardigan: Banana Republic Factory Outlet
Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Marshalls
Bag: Marshalls

This outfit is not much of a change from the one I wore on Day 2.  When I was dressing this morning, I didn't even realize it.  I was more concerned about working in this striped shirt.  But don't fret...the next time I feature these jeans during the remix challenge, it won't be with navy.  I even have the next ensemble planned out on Go Chic or Go Home.  If you have never heard of GCOGH, check it out.  You'll be glad you did!

Interested in an invite to GCOGH?  Leave me comment with your email address.  I'll hook you up....

Wednesday

30 for 30 • Day 7

Cardigan: Gap Outlet
Tank: H&M
Skirt: Banana Republic Factory Outlet
Shoes: Marshalls
Belt: Target
Bad day for pictures...especially the last one.  I usually try to be stealthy and take the pictures at the office when no one is around, but there are people everywhere today.  20 seconds just isn't enough time for proper picture taking.  I need at least a good minute or so to pull off a few decent ones.  Therefore, just look past the apathetic looking expression on my face... that's what happens when things get rushed.  I really am as happy as this bright yellow cardi screams I should be...I promise.

Monday

30 for 30 • Day 5

Cardigan: Banana Republic Factory Outlet
Top: Banana Republic Factory Outlet
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Old Navy (Wild card item: #29)
Belt: Charlotte Russe
Bag: Thrifted

Obviously, I love this cardigan.  I have worn it 3 times already and it's only Day 5.  Granted, I started wearing items last Monday, but only started posting on Wednesday, so I didn't really wear the cardi back to back.  Since I am not being so regimented this time around, dressing has been a lot more fun and relaxed, which I like.  And now that I am all caught up with my outfits (I am actually wearing this as I write), plan on outfits Monday thru Friday, with the occasional Saturday or Sunday outfit thrown in for good measure.

Question, have you guys tried any of the different views linked in the sidebar yet?
I was thinking about adding the remix outfit pictures to the sidebar as I go, but with the new viewing options, it kinda seems redundant.  What do you think?  Yea or nea?

Sunday

30 for 30 summer items

Finally, I got SOMETHING up for you to reference.  I wanted to photo each item so you could see the details, but I just gave up.  It was too much effort, time, work, (fill in the blank).  However, I promised to get something up today, so here it is.  I left 2 open spots which will probably include another pair of shoes and maybe a blazer.  I was going to do the full 30 items but I know my mornings can be hectic and having an option or two, could be a lifesaver.  I just hope 2 options will be enough.....

30 for 30 • Day 4

Cardigan: Banana Republic Factory Outlet
Top: Forever 21
Pants: Marshalls
Belt: Thrifted
Shoes: Marshalls

Friday

30 for 30 • Day 3

Top: Anthropologie
Pants: Old Navy
Shoes: Marshalls
Bag: Marshalls

Obviously, I am getting little of my energy back.  Hooray!  That said, I have just decided that I will be posting the 30 for 30 items over the weekend.  Trying not to wear myself down and stress myself out (which I am prone to do...back to that whole "Type A" thing I have going on). TGIF!

On another note, it has been awesome reading all the comments lately.  My plan is to catch up on replies this weekend, as well.  Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to provide feedback...it makes it all worthwhile!  :)

Thursday

30 for 30 • Day 2

Cardigan: Banana Republic Factory Outlet
Top: Old Navy
Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Marshalls

Still working on the post of my 30 items.  I don't know if you can tell by the look on my face, but I am still pretty tired from all these workouts, especially the running.  Running kicks my butt something awful.  However, it is the No. 1 thing that helps me shed pounds...so I am doing it.  I know some people out there are born runners, with their lean body type and their zest for a challenge.  I am NOT those people.  I am the person who dreads the run before it even begins, then suffers a majority of the way through while sweating profusely.  (Pretty picture, I know.)  So imagine that while you sit slight frustrated about the 30 items post...or lack there of.   It may just get me a sympathy vote and buy me some time, which I could obviously use right now.  :)

Wednesday

30 for 30 • Day 1

Cardigan: Target
Top: Kenar via Marshalls
Skirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Target

Ok, so I know you are asking yourself, "Where are the 30 items she is using for this challenge?  Did I miss the post?"  Frankly, I have been trying to get the pictures done for the last 3 days and I just haven't had the energy to follow through.  I actually started wearing the items on Monday, but now some things need to me laundered and what have you.  Plus, I kicked my workouts into high gear this week (MWF: 1 hour of kickboxing or running with a 30 Day Shred 20 min add-on, TTh: 1 hour of Zumba and an hour of strength training) so I just haven't had the will to get the 30 items posted up.  Don't worry, I will get it up there eventually.  That said, I don't want to get too behind so here is my first remix outfit.
