I have a few articles of clothing that like to shed fur off a dog.  This cardigan is one of them.  Every time I wash it 1 or 2 buttons disappear in the washer/dryer vortex of evil.  Ok, maybe not evil, but definitely the vortex of annoyance.  The first time it happened, I didn't even notice that the last button has vanished. I wore it with pride, happy to be out and about in my new cardi, completely oblivious to my somewhat shabby attire.  Then I washed it again, but before placing it in the dryer, found the first button in the lint trap (It's a trap!). The saga of buttons continued once I pulled it out of the dryer.  Now three-three buttons were missing from the cardigan-Ah-Ah-AHHH!  Since, I never have time to do anything but work, eat, and sleep, the cardigan and buttons sat longingly on my dresser for months.  Until finally, I had had enough of the cardi stare down and got to sewin'.   The cardigan was restored to its original glory and all was well with the world.  The end.

What can I say?  I feel like I have lost my style mojo lately.  It has been a week of awkward outfits along with awkward pics to match.  Nothing is fitting right (probably because I indulged in a few too many s'mores this summer, but that is besides the point), fall fashion is everywhere but it is still in the 80's (WTH?!?), and I am having trouble just thinking of outfits I haven't worn before.  It's NUTS!  So, even though I am off my game the pictures above, I am including them.  Hopefully, I can learn from my mistakes and move forward (or at least dwell on them obsessively for weeks on end).

Happy Friday!

Just catching up on some outfit pics I took over the last few weeks.  I have to say, I am pretty fond of this one...kinda crazy about all things ikat lately.  Have you ever walked through a store and picked out an item(s) that look exactly like something else you have?!?  Well, I have picked up 5 ikat skirts in the last 3 weeks, this being one of them.  I already have one in a navy and white pattern, but at least it is at the knee, not midi like this one.  All the others I have grabbed off the rack were navy knee-length ikat skirts.  Fortunately, I would realize what I was doing before getting to the register (most of the time).  Honestly,  I think I am going to need therapy to get rid of this addiction...or a new something to stalk.  Perhaps some tall cognac leather boots?  I could use a good pair of those!  :)

Ok, I know it has been a while since I have posted, but it has been a busy end to summer. Work travel, big projects and weekends camping, BBQ'ing and beach-going had taken its toll on my free time.  But I just want you to know, I'm back and ready to get the fall season underway! Yeah for Fall!
