Feeling Feisty

Cardigan: Loft
Blouse: Loft
Jeans: Ross
Shoes: Target
Belt: Charlotte Russe
Clutch: Marshalls

This outfit is somewhat out of my comfort zone.  Yes, it does have jeans as the base (my signature, it seems) but then it has this silky blouse, leopard belt, metallic clutch and open-toe booties...definitely not my norm.  I do like how it came together, though.  If anything, this outfit makes me a little more feisty...ready to take on the world in my new, sophisticated style.  Better watch out cuz this girl is comin' thru!

Scarf it up!

Cardigan: Gap
Shirt: H&M
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: American Eagle Outfitters
Scarf: Marshalls
Belt: Gap Outlet
Bag: Nine West

Over the last year, I have amassed quite a scarf collection.  Now that Fall is here, I am ready to bust them out....starting now.  My goal is to incorporate at least one scarf a week.  I used to only know a couple of ways to wear a scarf, but thanks to the wonders of youtube and pinterest, I have found a scarf tying goldmine.  Check out the video below if you are scarf-tying-challenged, like me:

Who Cares?

Sweater: H&M
Jeans: Ross
Boots: Target
Bag: American Eagle Outfitters

So, who cares if it is the middle of October and 80° outside?  Not me, that's for sure.  It's Fall.  That's all I know.  And I am going to dress for Fall.  No exceptions.  If that means I have to carry around my own portable sauna to look the part,  I will.  Why?  Because I am dedicated, that's why.  Plus, loosing a few pounds in water weight never hurt anyone before the holidays, agreed?  Agreed.

Is it Fall yet?

Sweater: H&M
Turtleneck: JCrew
Jeans: Thrifted
Shoes: Target
Belt: Kohl's
Bag: Fossil via Macy's

It is 95° outside right now...but don't worry.  I am not actually wearing this outfit today (Thank Goodness).  It was one I had on last week but didn't get a chance to post.  Last week, it was rainy and cold and oh, so fall-ish.  Good times, good times.  This week did a 180 flip and now it feels like the middle of summer again.  UGH!  Stupid global warming.  Today, I AM wearing a more appropriate outfit for the heat wave we are having, however, you will not see it.  I have spent enough time outdoors today to make picture taking simply out of the question.   So, for now, enjoy the cold weather fashion while I bake in a freakishly hot outdoor sauna.

Copy Cat

Sweater: Shade
Plaid: Target
Jeans: Ross
Boots: Lord & Taylor
Belt: Burlington Coat Factory

Ok, I'll be honest...this is not my outfit.  Well, it is, but not originally.  I first saw it on The Look For Less, and it was love at first much so, that I had to have the exact sweater from Shade clothing.   It was just too perfect!  I absolutely love it, however I think I am going to shrink it a little.  Sadly, don't have legs for days like the model so the length is just a tad bit long for me.  Plus it is VERY full (hence the belt), but it is SO cozy!   And my new boots are able to make their debut....  Yeah for Fall!

A Windfall

Sweater: Banana Republic
Shirt: Target
Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Old Navy
Bag: Thrifted

There has been a windfall of "stuff" coming to me.  Lately, online sales have been irresistible and I have spent WAY too much time finding deals and spending money.  Like this sweater.  I saw this and knew I had to have it and its berry cardi cohort.

For the last week and a half, something new has arrived almost everyday, like an advent calendar only better and sans the chocolate.  Each package makes me so very happy...well, not my bank account, but who cares about my net worth is when I got a sweater like this?!?  Not me, that's for sure.

I finally came up with a plan for changing out my bag daily.  Before I started this blog, I only changed my bag once or twice a year...usually a black one for fall /winter and neutral one for spring/summer.  However, when I really started looking around in the fashion blogosphere, I begin to see how a bag can make or break an outfit.  Thus started my collection of bags...10 to be exact.

On work days, I carry a backpack with my gym clothes and purse inside along and other miscellaneous things that can come in handy (i.e. cough drops, bobby pins, mini first aid kit).  This has really deterred me from changing my purse everyday since most of the time, it only sees the light of day for about an hour, my lunch hour.  Plus, as most of you know, changing a purse can be a bit of a PITA (pain in the ...).  However this weekend, I figured out a solution...a bag in a bag.  I had this little eye glass case sitting around doin' nothin' and decided to put it use holding all the misc. items that float around in my bag.  It is small enough to fit inside practically all my purses, so now if I want change a purse, it is as simple as, wallet/keys/phone/eye case.  Voila!

Of course, since I haven't posted any pictures in over a week, it doesn't look like I have changed my purse at all...but I have...twice.  I promise.  Scouts honor.
